Ludo is a classic board game for 2–4 players. The game board consists of a cross-shaped path divided into four colored quadrants. Each player selects a color (red, blue, green, or yellow) and places their four pawns in their respective "Base" area, which is one of the starting spaces of their chosen color.
Objective
The objective of Ludo is to move all four of your pawns from your "Base" area to the "Castle(Home)" area, which is at the center of the board.
Game Variations:
1.Classic Mode
2.Quick Mode
These game modes cater to both two players and four players
Game Starting
The game commences as either a 2-player or 4-player match, depending on the chosen game mode. The game's internal system will automatically establish the sequence of play.
- Move Pawns
On your turn, roll the die. The number rolled determines how many spaces you can move one of your pawns. The pawn must start its journey from the "Base" area, and you can choose which pawn to move.
- Special Rules for a Roll of 6:
If you roll a 6, you have the option to:
- Move one of your pawns from your "Base" area onto the starting space.
- Move a pawn already in play by 6 spaces.
- Rolling a 6 also grants you an additional roll.
- Obstacles and Pawn Placement:
Pawns follow a clockwise path and can traverse or occupy spaces already taken by pawns of the same color. Conversely, they are allowed to occupy spaces held by opponents' pawns, which results in the opponent's pawns being sent back to their respective "Base" areas.
- Entering the "Castle" Area:
Pawns need to roll an exact number to enter the "Castle (Home)" area. For example, if you need to move a pawn two spaces to reach the "Castle (Home)" area, you must roll a 2.
- Rules for Quick Game Mode
---------------------------------------
1. Begin the game with two Pawns positioned outside the Base.
2. To unlock the castle (Home column), a player must successfully kill (capture) one pawn belonging to their opponent.
3. If a player fails to kill (capture) an opponent's pawn and reaches their own castle (Home column), entry is denied. The player must then navigate the cells again until they successfully kill (capture) an opponent's pawn.
4. The game concludes when a player successfully moves one of their pawns into the Castle (Home), securing victory. Rankings are determined by the order in which other players finish.
5. In the 2-player quick mode, only the top-ranked player receives a reward. In the 4-player quick mode, the top two players are rewarded.
6. Additionally, if a player is unable to complete the game before the time-out or reaches the maximum turn limit, the user with the highest score will be declared the winner. Scores are distributed as follows:
- 1 point for every cell moved.
- An extra 10 points for rolling a six and successfully getting out.
- A further 25 points for entering the Castle Column (Home column).
- A bonus of 50 points for reaching the Castle (Home).
Rules for Classic Game Mode
---------------------------------------
1. The game begins with four pawns positioned inside the Base.
2. To bring a pawn outside from the Base to Play Track, the user must roll a six.
3. The first player to successfully move all four of their pawns into the Castle (Home) wins the game.
4. After a player achieves victory, the game continues for other players until the second player successfully moves all four of their pawns into the Castle (Home).
5. The third and fourth places will be determined based on the scores of the remaining players.
6. In the event that all or three players quit the game, the user with the highest score will be declared the winner. Scores are allocated as follows:
- 1 point for every cell moved.
- An additional 10 points for rolling a six and successfully bringing a pawn out.
- A further 25 points for entering the Castle Column (Home column).
- A bonus of 50 points for reaching the Castle (Home).
